DESCENDANTS

I’m Susanna Omaç. I am looking for friends and relatives of the people who were involved with the International College one century ago, from 1981-1922. My grandfather, S. Ralph Harlow, was the Chaplain here at the school as well as a Professor of Sociology. Are you related to any of these people?

This would include the professors, their families, students, Boy Scouts, all the Student Volunteers, The YMCA, and the missionaries sent by the American Board of Foreign Missions.

Not to mention the Greeks and Armenians, the Jews and the Levantines who played a huge role in this history. Would you consider, working together to reconcile a difficult past? How can this vision usher in a brighter future? What are your stories?

I’m here in Izmir. I have photographs, letters and many documents produced at the International College and saved by my grandparents. Are you interested in preserving your legacy here in Smyrna? I invite you to come to Turkey! Sit with me on these steps. Walk through what’s past with a renewed vision for the future.

Come to Türkiye, find your treasure...
